Summer Accounting Student Position

Business By Numbers Ltd. is seeking innovative senior university students going into their 4th year of study for our Summer Accounting Student position. Operational Accounting Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports;
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable;
- Analyze and maintain budgets, and production of monthly report packages for review by senior staff;
- Timely review and analysis of monthly production package(s) to ensure prompt delivery to customer, meeting senior managements’ reporting deadlines;
- Identify, investigate and document explanation(s) for variances;
Job Requirements:
- 4th year BAA/BComm Accounting or Finance Student
- MUST have Minimum 2 completed work-terms of direct accounting experience, including preparing A/P, A/R and month-end financial statements.
- Demonstrable QuickBooks A/R and A/P experience (we’ll be testing)
- Excellent oral and written English required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients, team members and government agencies required.
Job Specifics:
- 4 Month full-time contract: May 16th to August 31st, 2015 (with the option of part-time work beyond)
- Working 40 hours per week
- Hourly wage negotiable, based on level of skills, education and experience
- Training provided
** This is also a summer coverage position; NO extended absences allowed.
